Inženjerska komora Crne Gore (IKCG) utemeljena je Zakonom o izgradnji objekata koji je stupio na snagu 10. decembra 2000. godine, a Osnivačka skupština Komore održana je deset mjeseci kasnije, 31. oktobra 2001. Osnovana je sa ciljem da djelovanjem svojih članova, pojedinačno i u cjelini, kao i verifikacijom privrednih društava za obavljanje pojedinih poslova u izradi planske i tehničke dokumentacije i izgradnji objekata, garantuje stručnost u tim djelatnostima, u cilju zaštite javnog interesa i zaštite trećih lica.

IKCG čine strukovne komore, prvobitno matične sekcije, koje okupljaju inženjere različitih struka (Strukovna komora inženjera arhitekture, Strukovna komora građevinskih inženjera, Strukovna komora elektro inženjera, Strukovna komora mašinskih inženjera i Srukovna komora drugih inženjerskih struka).

Uloga Inženjerske komore Crne Gore značajno se mijenjala u proteklih dvadeset godina, a promjene su se uglavnom odnosile na prenesena javna ovlašćenja i povjerene poslove od strane resornog ministarstva. Poziciju Inženjerske komore čine specifičnom - uloga koja se ogleda u sprovođenju javnih ovlašćenja i povjerenih poslova od strane resornog ministarstva, s jedne strane, i zastupanje interesa svojih članova i zaštita i unapređenje struke, s druge strane. Odnos između ove dvije uloge nije uvijek bilo lako pomiriti i to je ono što rukovođenje Komorom čini osjetljivim. Dosadašnji predsjednici IKCG uvijek su bili usaglašeni oko stava da je inters struke prioritet njihovog udruženja.

IKCG je tokom godina rada ostvarila značajne rezultate na unutrašnjem i međunarodnom planu, prepoznala je inženjerske podvige svojih članova i nagradila ih priznanjima, prepoznala je ambiciju i talenat budućih inženjera i nagradila ih stipendijama, izabrala počasne članove i uputila zahvalnice zaslužnim. Podržala je brojne publikacije i osmislila je sopstvenu izdavačku produkciju i nastavila da radi na edukaciji i usavršavanju svojih članova.

IKCG je organizator brojnih naučnih i stručnih skupova, okruglih stolova, seminara, radionica, manifestacija kao što su Dani elektro inženjera, i redovna je podrška svojim članovima koji, u cilju cjeloživotnog profesionalnog obrazovanja, prisustvuju značajnim prezentacijama/sajmovima/seminarima iz svih inženjerskih oblasti kako u zemlji tako i u svijetu.

Jubilej - dvadeset godina postojanja i rada, IKCG će dočekati značajno osnažena jer je opet postala krovna inženjerska organizacija. Reorganizacijom na svim nivoima u radu IKCG, postigla se efikasnost njenog funkcionisanja, a izmjenama i dopunama Zakona o uređenju prostora i izgradnji objekata (u avgustu prošle godine), vraćena su joj i proširena profesionalna djelovanja. Interesovanje inženjera za članstvo u IKCG ide uzlaznom putanjom tako da u ovom trenutku Registar broji 2700 inženjera iz Crne Gore i 341 inostranih inženjera.

ABOUT CHAMBER

Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro (CEM) was established by the Law on the Construction of Structures that came into force on December 10th 2000, while the Founding Assembly of the Chamber was held ten months later, on October 31st , 2001. It was founded with the aim to protect public interest and third parties, and to guarantee expertise of its engineers and companies in performing certain tasks in the development of planning and technical documentation and construction of facilities as well.

ECM consists of professional chambers and gathers engineers of different profiles: professional chamber of architects, professional chamber of electrical engineers, professional chamber of mechanical engineers and the chamber of other engineering professions.

The role of the Chamber of Engineers of Montenegro changed significantly over the past twenty years, and the changes were mainly related to the transferred public authority and entrusted tasks by the relevant Ministry. The position of the Chamber of Engineers makes specific - role reflected in the implementation of public authority, on the one hand, and advocacy of the interests of its members and the protection and improvement of the profession, on the other hand. The relationship between these two roles was not always easy to reconcile and that is what makes the chamber management sensitive. The previous presidents of the ECM were always unique in the attitude that the professional interests are common top priority.

During the years, ECM has achieved significant results on the domestic and international level, recognized and awarded engineering achievements of its members, recognized talents of future engineers and rewarded them with the scholarships. Chamber supported numerous publications, designed its own publishing production and continued to work on education and vocational improvement of members.

Chamber organizes great number of scientific and professional seminars, round tables,  workshops, events such as Days of electrical engineers, and regularly supports membership in its professional aspirations towards lifelong education.

Jubilee - Twenty years of existence and work, Chamber welcomed significantly empowered because it has become a roof engineering organization again. With reorganization on all levels, it has achieved more efficiency in functioning, while the amendments to the Law on Spatial Development and Construction of Structures, widened its scope of action.

The interest of membership increases on a daily basis, while the Register of members counts 2700 engineers from Montenegro and 341 foreign engineers.
