This paper presents an analysis of a four-story wall with openings, focusing on the impact of
different modelling methods and opening heights on its behavior. The Tower software package
is used to examine the wall, and three modelling approaches are employed: modelling with linear
finite elements, shell finite elements, and a combination of the linear and shell finite elements.
Three different opening heights in the walls are analyzed, while the width remained constant in
all models. Additionally, control models are considered for comparative analysis. Considering
the differences in the modelling methods, the stiffness of the joints is taken into account, and
additional models are analyzed. |
